The Month of Sivan in the Bible
The third month in the Jewish spiritual calendar isn't named in the Bible. In the civil or financial calendar it is the ninth month and is named Sivan. In a typical year there are thirty days in this month. In the Gregorian (Western) calendar it corresponds to the period from the middle of May to the middle of June. It is the time of tending to grapevines, and the month when the twelve spies sent into Canaan by Moses returned bearing a huge cluster of grapes. The Feast of Weeks takes place in this month.
